Sharing information with others in your community, through events like a town hall meeting, is easy. The Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), in collaboration with the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, created Community Briefings: A Prevention Tool for Communities to provide a step-by-step explanation of the planning process, including tips on how to organize and promote a community briefing, how to best utilize the information gained from the meeting, and real-life examples of how community briefings can build community awareness.
Additionally, CADCA) and CHPA, on behalf of the leading makers of cough medicines, created the community Dose of Prevention Toolkit to help you get the conversation started in your neighborhood.
The Dose of Prevention Toolkit is available for you to use on the full version of StopMedicineAbuse.org. We encourage you to log-on to the site from your home computer to download all the materials needed to present information to other concerned adults, get local media involved, and offer materials for attendees.
For more information or if you have questions, e-mail CADCA’s Natalia Martinez Duncan or CHPA’s Katie Bryan.
